Resilient Economy

A community that can foresee, adapt, and leverage changing economic conditions to its benefit has a resilient economy.

With resiliency in mind, we are studying Spring Hill’s place in the regional marketplace. The project team will consider how the local economy is experienced by diverse types of workers and consumers. We will also evaluate the revenues produced by economic activity and look at how well they support critical functions like schools and city government.

Local government plays a strong supporting role in the economy by providing infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and utilities that stimulate private investment and managing development to ensure it meets community standards.

Resilient Economy considers:

  • Education and lifelong learning opportunities
  • Growth and redevelopment of commercial centers
  • Attraction of employers with good paying jobs
  • Local industries like manufacturing, bioscience, and agriscience
